The Geneva convention does not apply. Neither am I going to war, nor are any of the affected parties non-combatants. I do not plan to use it on POWs or on shipwrecked people.
Not to mention that I never signed it and I, as a person, cannot become a signing party considering that only nations can.
By that logic, 9/11 itself was merely a fault of a malicious actor. Or a bunch thereof.
Possibly even more than that. You think that airlines are too eager to go "yeah, well, one of our pilots went bananas and crashed the plane 'cause he felt like it"?
No, but I think we should ask the question why this happens, and why it seems to increase in frequency.
As far as I can tell pilots are of no different stock than they were 5 years ago. So what changed?
So far, so theoretical.
I'd be amazed if that wasn't already the standard procedure. But anyone who ever worked in any kind of "real" environment knows that security procedures are, at best, haphazardly implemented. Often ignored.
Yes, there should be two people in the cockpit all the time. No, there won't be.
What's the difference?
Cockpits HAVE TO be lockable from the inside, even against people who are otherwise allowed to enter, and easily so.
For security reasons.
The clerks not only don't care, they are at least as pissed off as you are.
Because HE, not the markedroid idiot that came up with this marvelous idea, HE gets yelled at by paranoid customers who can't just say "don't wanna" but have to make an insanely huge deal out of it. It is seriously in the clerks best interest to enter as many bogus addresses as he possibly can get away with, hoping that eventually the whole shit gets dumped because it causes more trouble than it's worth.
Phone number?
911
Erh... that's the emergency number?
Yeah, and I'd really wish I could be there when your autodialer calls it and your markedroid has to explain it to the pissed off 911 agent.
After all, they have to make sure that tax is paid on this transaction!
Why rely on luck?
Are you sure?
Maybe you can only get it from one of their resellers, but if not, I bet you can get your nukes from AliExpress.
Too bad the bombs didn't discriminate between those living comfortably and those that don't. Actually, thinking about it, those living comfortably could probably also afford to not live in the big cities that were bombed routinely...
