Comment Home Server 2003 (Score 1) 2

Home server 2003 does real time replication. Check out this screen shot, and note the "duplication" column: http://www.connectedinternet.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/shared-folders.png All you have to do is install Home Server with two or more drives, and check [x] enable duplication for the shared folders you want to replicate. It's that easy. If one of the duplicated drives fails, the data is on the other drive in NTFS format. This means that you don't have to rebuild a RAID array. I ripped my audio collection about 10 years ago, and I have been running Home Server for about 6 years now. It has successfully duplicated 8TB of data without issue during that time.

Comment Isn't the attorney also a pedophile? (Score 1) 90

Correct me if I'm wrong: In order for the attorney to acuse people of downloading child pornography, wouldn't he first have to download the torrent to ensure it actually contained that type of material? If this step wasn't performed, his cases would have no merrit. So, doesn't that also make him or his firm just as guilty as the people he is accusing? Somebody should shake him down for 1000s.

If screen real-estate was truely the issue, people would have stayed on their desktops/laptops. The problem with mobile browsing is the publishers constant desire to force-feed a "mobile version" of their website to end-users. Most mobile versions suck pretty bad and they are not typically intuitive. When on a mobile version, I don't click on ads. Why would I bother when i'll just be taken to another crappy stripped down mobile version. However, after installing the dolphine browser and getting a normal looking web page back, I click on ads frequently if they interest me. To summarize, if you want mobile users to click on ads as much as desktop users, then give them a desktop experience.

Comment Galaxy Note (Score 1) 6

I recently upgraded from a Dell Streak (5") to a Samsung Galaxy Note (5.3") Both phones have very large screens making the interface buttons also much larger. Everything is more convenient to use: navigation, phone calls, web surfing, text messaging, the camera, etc, etc, etc.

Comment Change Your Orientation (Score 1) 1

Instead of thinking front and back, think top and bottom. There are racks designed for small spaces that mount equipment vertically instead of horizontally. They bolt right up to a wall. With this configuration, you can have full size servers, routers, and switches in one convenient location. I have a 5U Dell 2900, and a 2U Dell 2950 at home stuff in with some other equipment. It works great. Search for "verticle racks" and similar searches. you may not find a 12U vertical rack, but you can easily put three smaller verticle racks side by side: etc. For us, the laundry room was a great place for this stuff. I had to cut some custom filters for the front of the servers though. The dust bunnies were RIDICULOUS!!!

I know the first couple of iPhone generations had crappy support for exchange, but what I hear from friends is that it's pretty tight these days. I also don't own a single apple product, so actual mileage may vary. I've owned several HTC windows mobile phones. They were awesome for sure. I recently switched over to android (Galaxy Note) and i've been super satisfied with it.

Comment No power? (Score 1) 5

The vehicle itself has a 12 volt power source. Combine that with a fanless inverter and you have a quiet source of 120 volt AC too. Vehicles also have lots of dark nooks & crannies with which to hide small cameras in. I would probably just slap a cheap laptop with 4 quick cams on the problem and wait. When you take a plastic quick cam apart and remove the bulky housing, the actual camera is usually about the size of a 1/2 dollar. USB extension cords are cheap. From here, you could place them anywhere on the vehicle.

I have currently deployed ClearOS, CentOS + Webmin, and SBS 2008 & 2011. I would say that any RedHat based distro could easily solve these problems for you. When you say, "email on the go" if you ONLY want email, then most phones support pop/smtp. If you ALSO want calendar & contact syncronization on the go, then I would recommended Exchange for a no fuss solution.

Since you choose to take apart language so much... Your use of a comma after the word "themselves" is innappropriate. A period is used to terminate a complete thought. Your use of a question mark after "...phones?" is idiotic because it was not an interrogative statement. Your use of "an naive" doesn't even make sense. You're obviously a bumbling idiot yourself. Your use of an elipsis after "arguing is there..." is moronic because you're at the termination of a complete thought. There is no implied continuation. A period should have been used instead. Starting a sentence with "And" is immature. You forgot a comma after "by the way" because it's a prepisitional phrase followed by a complete thought.

Long story short: I refuse to take advice about the meaning of words from an idiot who can't even use language properly. Get an education before you throw around insults and make yourself look like a jackass.
