According to Fox News, GW Bush now has a "Manadate", how gaining two seats in the Senate could be considered a "Mandate" I don't know, but the people have spoken and the Republican party now controls every major arm of the government. He no longer have the Democrats to blame. It is now time to deliver on all those promises he got "Elected" on in 2000. So here is my list of expections for the next 2 years.

• Cut Taxes: Cutting taxes does not mean you run up the federal deficit, it means you cut government spending.
• Social Security Reform: Fixing Social Security does not mean investing it in the Stock Market, it means paying back all the money that has been "Borrowed" from it and then locking it up so it can no longer be "Borrowed" from and paying a reasonable interest rate on it.
• Health Care/ Prescription Drug Bill: This means making sure every citizen of the US has access to health insurance they can afford and has access to emergency health care. This does not mean letting HMO's run wild and unchecked.
• Education Reform: This does not mean throwing another billion dollars at it or subidizing rich kids going to private schools. It means every U.S. Citizen between the ages of 6 and 18 has free and equal access to a quality education.
• Welfare/Unemployment Reform: This means getting money and services to people who need it. This does not mean giving money to religious organizations nor does it mean punishing people in need because a small minority are abusing the system.

In the current political climate, it is now politically incorrect to be Liberal. Well folks, I am Liberal, deal with it.

• I think a war with Iraq is a stupid idea. I also thought the war in Afghanistan was a stupid idea.
• I think throwing someone in jail for possession of 1 joint is a stupid idea.
• I think investing Social Security funds in the Stock Market is a stupid idea.
• I think putting 14 year olds on trial as adults is a stupid idea.
• I think the "War on Terrorism" will fail, as did the "War on Drugs".
• As much as I hate "Tax and Spend", I hate "Borrow and Spend" more.
• I am a happy atheist; I don't want God shoved down my throat, not by the door-to-door Mormons and certainly not by the government. I don't want prayer in school and I don't think the words "Under God" affect the meaning of the Pledge of Allegiance in the least.
• I think women have the right to do with their own bodies what they damn well please. For that matter men do to.
• I think there is nothing wrong with helping people in need.
• I think putting even 1 innocent person to death for a crime he didn't commit is 1 too many.
• I think I should be able to get on an airplane without being subjected to an anal probe.
• I think it SHOULD be harder to get a gun than a drivers license.
• I like fresh air, clean water and uncontaminated milk, I don't mind paying a little extra to get it and if that means you can't run around terrorizing people in your SUV, all the better.
• Companies and CEO's who rape consumers, the environment, their employees and stockholders should be punished.
• I like our National Parks as they are, I don't think oil rigs will add anything to the landscape.
• I beleive in an honest days wage for an honest days work. Contrary to popular belief, 4 dollars is not an honest days wage, even in India.
• I would rather have sex with Monica Lewinski than Ken Lay.
