I actually find it very interesting that Slashdot decided to place this story in the Politics section. Neither those defending global warming, nor those questioning it believe this should be a political issue. The issue is to important to leave any stone unturned. Why exactly is there data that is being repressed by these groups? Isn't that the exact opposite of what they say they're fighting for?

Go look at google maps. Zoom in on a major city like San Francisco. The percentage of man-made dark surfaces are very tiny. I'd be stunned if it equaled a fraction of a percent world-wide. I played AoC for about 10 days before I canceled and realized it was really poorly done.

Warhammer in my opinion has redefined how to launch a MMO. It made me see how really bad AoC was and there's no way that I would ever waste my time revisiting AoC. Even another free month wouldn't be worth the time to reinstall it.
