They don't know what Snowden took. For a high security the fate of the free world depends on it computer system that's not what I was hoping for.

The problem with spying on everyone is you don't have any time left to analyze all that data. The NSA is a data broker, not a national defense agency.

By analyzing the light in the background of a video you can see what is reflected there (the people behind the camera). If someone in the background of a terrorist vid is talking about their next terrorist strike- I'd want to know what he was saying. It's a pre-recorded vid, you can't set up surveillance gear and the vid isn't good enough to show the sound vibrations.

You want the body armour for combat use, so you want an iron man suit. Having powered legs to increase your capacity is useful too, though not as intimidating. As for the batteries- you can run a fuel cell off of diesel using a reformer, and that's easy to get on a battlefield.

How about when you file for a patent it's only a registry, no checks or validity or anything (like now?). And every single time you attempt to use the patent in court it can be challenged (and possibly declared invalid). The government still gets their money, the patent office can continue with their no value added business model, and everyone else can fight the patent trolls in court on an even footing.

This struggle will go on until they run out of oil. Then we won't care, and stop meddling in their internal affairs.

We should replace the patent system with a mandatory royalty system. You invent something, everyone can use your discovery but they must pay royalties to you for a fixed time period.

The Russian supported civil war in Ukraine will have no serious effects on the US or the EU.

In a world war it's entirely possible for an artillery unit to have tactical nuclear weapons, with the local field commander having the big red button. Of course this isn't a world war, so I expect the big stuff is safely locked away.

Putin (Russia) already has everything they wanted. They wanted to secure the Crimea, and they did. He supports the "Separatists" to: 1-make the Nationalists happy at home (win elections). 2-force Ukraine to join a Russian trade block instead of the EU/west trade block (money). 3-prevent Nato from having military bases on his border(national defence).

We know for a fact that Russia (USSR) has developed working anti-ICBM missile defenses. We know they have some very good scientists, and are good at large problems and know how to keep a secret. The US? Probably not.

1-It would guarantee a full economic embargo from the EU. It's one of the few things that scares the voters enough to make that very painful choice politically viable. 2-They don't need to. They have the military forces to take the entire country easily, why ruin their prize by making the breadbasket of Russia radioactive?
