The problem with that is that it makes it unbalanced. Not only will people want to be on the "defending" side since they get a chance at respawn, but it ultimately means that defenders will have a higher chance at winning.
Many games have those respawn timers, usually including some sort of flag or point capture (Battlefront, Day of Defeat, I could go on) - but these don't exactly make for the most realistic of playing either.
OTOH, contracts can and routinely do include clauses to the effect that you cannot disclose the terms of the contract.
Which only means that you can't disclose the terms AFTER you sign the contract. If you don't sign, one of the few means of protection available is through enforcement of copyright.
If the UK regime is going to milk the population for cash, perhaps they ought to be pumping that cash into floundering UK science. The STFC is cutting funds from vital research, whilst a bunch of twats who played guitar instead of paying attention in maths class get to use the government coffers and their personal fucking piggy bank.
I'm burning with anger over the pure injustice of this. There is an -ocracy word meaning 'rule by the worst' that I can't remember right now, but it fits the situation. I guess I can stick with 'Kleptocracy' for the moment.
Why was this modded flamebait? That's ridiculous. He's right on target: science and engineering are related, but distinct, disciplines.
Engineering is the process of taking the outputs of science (research and development) and making it work it the real world. There is a huge difference between the personality type that can creatively solve a difficult and potential novel or unique problem and the a personality that can make that solution repeatable and low-cost in the real world.
Intel and Adobe both have completely dropped the ball, but right now it's Intel that's in trouble. The only "netbook" I know that can handle fullscreen flash is the LT3013u; At 12" and $350 it hits the price point okay but misses size. Still, it's at least got a 720p display, which means it has to do more than most of the competition to even break even — it does better than that.
Google has shown lately that they are more likely to lean towards very permissive, BSD-type licenses than restrictive ones.
The thing is that nobody had heard about Bing before MS.
I had. She's a friend of our family. "Bing" is a fairly common Chinese given name. And, come to think of it, lots of people have heard of Bing Crosby. I think that would be significant if this were about copyright, but as this is about a trademark I suspect it isn't.
Telling a password to your boss, saying a password on the phone, or saying a password in front of a group of people are all fireable offenses, according to city policy.
He was obligated not to do so.
The media loved Palin too.
Wow - I sure wouldn't have described it that way.
They loved her in much the same way I would have liked to love her. Just kidding... OK, not really.
Wisdom is "applied" knowledge. You can't be wise without some amount of knowledge.
But you can be wise without understanding (or being able to understand) complex math, abstractions, etc.
Life is a healthy respect for mother nature laced with greed.
