Indeed - the page actually mentions the rhythm method, the Catholic's favoured method.

Someone please help me understand. How is the rhythm method not a form of contraception and as such just as much a sin as any other method of contraception?

Because they have faith that it isn't. Facts don't matter when you have faith.

A search is not unreasonable if it yields evidence of a crime. This case, if any, is a shining beacon for why we need ubiquitous surveillance, including private property. If it saves just one life, it's worth the effort.

A search is not unreasonable if there are FACTS known that make it PROBABLE that it will yield evidence of a crime AND that judgement is made by a judge not by the one advocating the search.

Read 1984 by Orwell for a view of where "ubiquitous surveillance" leads. Note that novel is not a "How to manual" though it seems politicians disagree.

Plants do have respiration and excretion.

Only if you creatively redefine both of the terms to mean something they don't in a colloquial usage. Which, in turn, would make the great-grandparent's definition of life useless — because it did not contain the necessary (re)definitions of the terms it used.

Since the terms are used here in a scientific context colloquial definitions do not apply but scientific ones do.

Yeah, fuck them! How dare they try to protect themselves from theft on PRIVATE property that no one is REQUIRED to go to. Fuck them indeed.

The MPAA does not own the copyrights. (Copyright misappropriation is also not theft). The MPAA also does not own the theatres. So they don't really get to set the rules as they are also not the government.

The majority of us did not have money to spare for Macs. I have no doubt that they were the best personal computers around. I used them.

For less expensive computers, there was the BASIC interpreter. Not as WYSIWYG or simple and Beginners need to think when coding, even at that level. It also had the advantage of being close to a standard untill MS teurned it into QBasic then dumped it.

BASIC is what we need again but standardised and improved a lot.

Official Website

FreeBASIC is a free/open source (GPL), BASIC compiler for Microsoft Windows, DOS and Linux.

When used in its "QB" language mode, FreeBASIC provides a high level of support for programs written for QuickBASIC. Many programs written for QuickBASIC will compile and run in this mode with no changes needed. However, for compilation in the FreeBASIC default language mode, most substantial programs will require changes.

FreeBASIC is a self-hosting compiler which makes use of the GNU binutils programming tools as backends and can produce console, graphical/GUI executables, dynamic and static libraries. FreeBASIC fully supports the use of C libraries and has partial C++ library support. This lets programmers use and create libraries for C and many other languages. It supports a C style preprocessor, capable of multiline macros, conditional compiling and file inclusion.

FreeBASIC has been rated close in speed with mainstream tools, such as GCC.

Ok. So what respect do they grant others? They condemn them to eternal suffering for having the audacity to not believe as they are told to believe without evidence. They assume that they are superior due to their faith and any unbeliever or other believer is automatically wrong. I don't think they want to be treated that badly. I've had a bible thumper tell me that I should be burnt at the stake. Don't think he wants that for himself though.

They want to be treated better than they want to treat others. Doesn't work well.

Just because they are religious doesn't entitle them to respect. Otherwise they would respect the Taliban and honour killing and genital mutilation etc etc.

Really? I'm glad that you have made it so clear that the Windows 98 machines that I see at work are not really there because the custom apps that would be difficult/impossible to be updated to more modern Windows are not a problem. The other machines that I see with Win XP clearly don't exist either only the very few Win 7 machines exist. Glad you cleared that up.
