Instead of Man With The Golden Gun mode...have a Kill Jar Jar mode. It's like a game of tag, the player "tagged" becomes Jar Jar and everyone has to kill em, and he remains Jar Jar until he kills someone else, who then becomes Jar Jar. I mean this in all seriousness and not as a joke, but a mode like this would actually be hella fun.

Working for a major financial institution (disclaimer: while I am not going to identify said FI, what I say in no way is a representation or an opinion of the FI itself, but only personal opinion of myself based on experience), I have seen a lot of fraud occur this way. The typical scam going around is that someone calls you, says they are collecting on a debt and that they will soon be initiating legal action against you and it can be easily avoided by paying a percentage and then that they will clear it off the books and erase it permanently from your credit report. Then they ask for your card# (and if they are really bold, they'll ask for the CVV2 code on the back of the card) along with the expiration, and then proceed to create a cloned card and rack up as many fraudulent charges as possible before the bank suspects fraud and shuts the card off. It's become so common that when I see certain transactions, I know what has happened before the person I'm talking to has even said that they had someone call them up in this manner. To be quite honest, debit and credit card fraud is at a very high level currently.

I have no idea how you could hate something so awesome. But I think you are right, as the current generation supplants the baby boomers, things like this will go the way of the cassette tape. And for the obvious questions, a cassette tape is a magnetic media format used back in the time when people had to watch out for velociraptors crossing the road while riding on the back of their triceratops.

I have a cell phone (Droid) with internet access. Granted, there is a chance both my cable internet and cellular service could both go down at the same time, but honestly, what are the chances of that happening outside of an event such as a hurricane. And I'll know well enough in advance of a hurricane coming to jot down some important phone numbers among other things.

In the UK, you can use 'reasonable force.' What that means is subject to how good your defence lawyer is. A general rule is that if your attacker tries to run, let him go - any attempt to stop or capture him is by definition not defensive, and thus not reasonable.

Well, I guess don't kill him as he's leaving. Here in FL, it's a non-issue. They break into your house with intent to commit a crime, anything is fair game.

Nice random dig against republicans, but most publicly available data on this actually tends to show that the demographics increase as the income increases. It's digital, not analog. Again, paying more than 10-20 bucks for an HDMI cable is just throwing money to the wind. There is no analog signal passing through the cable. There is no way it can be interfered with. Unless you have a defective cable, there is no reason a 10 dollar cable should look any different than a 60 dollar cable.
