Well that's it, I guess once someone large exists there will be no stopping them and we should not even try. Even if we have access to capital that would rival them. Amazon is listed for around $30b net worth, while the publishing industry does billions a year, and has multiple billionaires owning publishing companies.

Or could be that they offer better pricing when dealing in bulk.

Most businesses will give a discount when ordering in large quantities. Someone needs 10 shirts, the get to pay $20 each, someone else orders 10,000 then they pay only $12 for each; is that somehow unfair to first person?

Wither larger quantities there can be less man power required, and less estimation on the part of everyone so economies of scale come into play.

Actually she has a history of lying.

Remember her Bayonetta video? She took it down after being called out by people becuase she had never even played the game before analyzing it; she went off the trailer and box art.

And then there was the whole calling herself a gamer when right before that she said she had no interest in games and would not want to play them.

And of course her common tactic of misrepresenting quotes from game industry people if it'll further her agenda.

Hell, I am surprise it does not happen more often.

How far does it have to go before it's false advertising. You have companies shopping in-game screenshots and using them as advertising of the final product. Or using special render/graphics settings not available to users for in-game trailer footage.

Exactly... What was with the opening?

If they claimed X and did not deliver it, it's a legitimate claim to be made. Should game companies be immune to false advertising claims just becuase they make "video games".

Would the writer also say that the Aliens:CM false trailer was also frivolous?

Yea, this situation is what contributed to the end of pirate radio boats off the coast of Britain.

The boats would broadcast and interfere with the emergency signals from commercial boating traffic; so when an accident happened and people needed rescue, no one could hear them over the pirate radio broadcasts.

Of course that would run afoul of many of the guidelines from the manufacturers. In which they expect a game to run and behave a certain way on each console generation.

Otherwise you're going to have to qualify game expectations on the specific hardware configuration of your own setup; same as happens with PC gaming.

1st Gen X model - Kinect = 30 FPS
1st Gen Y model + Kinect = 24 FPS
