How do you expect to ever get there if rich people aren't funding it first? Like it or not, rich people funding novelties leads to mass production and streamlining of processes which in turn make everything cheaper for us little guys. On top of that, it's THEIR money. Why should they give a damn about your opinion on how they spend it?

Also, based on some of the relationships I've seen, porn is the reason they still have a family. If not for porn as an outlet, they would have long ago ditched the wife (who let herself go) and kids for the fun and bubbly 20-something at work.

Actually, in many areas you don't need building permits or permission to do anything you'd like. It has to pass safety inspection in order for you to sell it, but you can build and live in your own house. Most areas want their cut in taxes and permit fees if you build, however.

Because some world and group leaders aren't sane. The only thing holding many of them back is the fact that other players are holding a much bigger hammer.
