Your story sounds quite extreme compared to my experience with mostly the same brands.
I've had Apple, Acer, IBM/Lenovo, Dell XPS. Out of ten, 9 are still fully functional, in one the backlight of the display has died.

Microsoft heard about this halo effect around the iPod and now iPhone bringing people to the Mac and totally misunderstood what it meant. Hence, Cortana and Spartan.

I don't care what they name it but it will definitely have Microsoft..... in the name and as others have said, they'll likely stick with the Spartan branding and maybe even pile on the 'Halo' theme even more. Pity Halo itself is a smoking shell these days. Halo 4 was just sad.

For credit cards, frauds are nothing to banks. They just pay it from their profits, and the customer doesn't have to worry. Maybe it is the same here? Perhaps it still pays off for the banks and Apple to do that extra business, and it works out in their calculation.

They better watch what they google for.

Taking literally the biblical texts is nowadays no longer compatible with the aim of staying intellectually honest. Tons of scientifically based evidences conflict with your unjustified claims (biblical texts are not science based).

Remind some scientifically based evidences:

1) The sky show us plenty of evolving objects at distances that light needs thousands to billions of years to reach us.
2) Any serious geologist observing km thick layers and layers of rocks arrive to the conclusion that most of the stones and fossils must be millions to billions years old and made by processes like sedimentation or volcanic eruptions.
3) Archeologists can date the spread of human ancestors over the Earth back to millions of years.
4) Historians can document the emergence of civilizations from the Neolithic period well before any epochs you mention, such as 8'000-10'000 BCE in Egypt and Mesopotamia.
5) There is no geological evidence for a world wide flooding as described in the Bible. The required amount of water is just not available on Earth.

Believing in biblical chronologies together with not ignoring scientific evidences must lead to the conclusion that the universe was created by a god devious enough to introduce at the same time uncountable false evidences (like all the photons coming from deep space) for the existence of a consistent but fake universe, millions of times older than the biblical one. .

I learned a lot about what systemd actually is and does.

European universities are really good. The overall education standard in Europe is higher than the US and while there's some possibility that they may want to work in the US in the future it shouldn't be impossible for them if they've got relatives there to get in even without citizenship. They can work in any european country they like so there's plenty of opportunities without forcing them to go through the tax burden of being a US citizen. Having lived and worked in the US myself (silicon valley) I just don't see the attraction other than maybe money but the standard of living isn't great all things considered.

Here's MS' problem, there's a strong perception that they don't exist in the phone market. I was watching the news the other day and they were covering various gadgets and they had this thing which paired over bluetooth with a phone and had an app. The reviewer actually said that it supports all smartphones, both android and iPhone. Boom, there's your problem MS. No-one even knows or cares that you exist.

As a long time Linux user, it feels good that MS is getting killed because no-one is supporting their product however good it may be.

The Great Extinction, caused by Siberia becoming one gigantic lava bed (probably after an asteroid strike), was a bit further back in time. Geologically, Siberia is old. You might be confusing the vestiges of Ice Age dessication (which was 10,000 years ago) but which involves the organics on the surface with the geology (aka rocks).

Regardless, though, of how the craters are forming, the fact remains that an awful lot of greenhouse gas is being pumped into the air, an awful lot of information on early civilization is being blasted out of existence, and a lot of locals are finding that the land has suddenly become deadly.

That is a good question. The last time the courts ruled on this, the ruling was that the FCC had ceded power and couldn't claim it back without the will of god. Or Congress, or something.

Personally, I'm all in favour of Thor turning up to the Supreme Court, but he probably wouldn't be allowed in on account of not having a visa.
