I know, we had a problem with my wifes work only allowing messenger on her pc, they wouldnt install skype or any other messenger. I ended up putting skype portable on a usb drive and she ran it from there.

What is mid size city to do. Say with 50 officers, maybe 40 of them are on duty on any day. 40 cops x 8 hours per day is 320 hours of video to store per day, 2240 hours per week, 8960 hours per month and 107,000 hours per year.....Say they shoot SD video at a (very conservative) bitrate of around 1200kbps combined video/audio. Thats over 4gb per officer per day, or around 160GB of video to store per day using my previous estimations. 1.2TB per week, 4.8TB per month or 57TB per year. You would need perfect backups, so double or triple your storage. Want HD triple that again at minimum. A gopro on a average setting will use a GB per 20 minutes.

There are many websites now you copy and paste a youtube link, then gives you an mp3 file. And there are browser ad-ons that download full videos for later viewing and can also do conversion to mp3 audio. Anyway, I don't like how this is sounding, next youtube will want money to view videos in HD or some other type of premium feature. Thats how XM radio started, you pay a low price for ad free music, then after several years more and more channels started playing ads and prices went up.

Touch screens suck for typing, with out autocorrect they would be totally useless, that's when autocorrect actually gets the words right. A dentists office bought all new workstation computers, they are friends with my boss and gave him the old computers to see if we could use them or give them away. The were password protected, so I downloaded an easy to find password reset cd from a pirate site, cleared the passwords and booted it up. While it did not have detailed patient information (that was still on their server) it had many patient pictures showing work they have done, word documents with patient names and addresses saying what work was done and the amount due, or now past due and other random letters. It would have been easy for some scammer to go though the word files, call or mail the patients that were late paying, saying they were a collections agency and if you pay me 50% now Ill clear your record.

Well, I'm sure the gm board room is full of suits near/past retirement age. They have little knowledge of things like this work. They were likely approached by a mobile internet provider, told we have this great deal for you, you get 30% of sales and all you need to do is put this little box in your cars. You can keep making money on each car after it leaves the show room. They said yes, that's been the problem, we only make money off a car 1 time, when it sold, now we can keep bringing in money for years.

No different than the cars that come with xm radio, after the free 3-6 months almost no one continues and pays for a subscription. Many people don't even know about the free trial when they buy their car. My wife's new Subaru supports bluetooth audio, wired ipod/Iphones, usb drives and hd radio. So do many mid-range and up aftermarket radios. You can play internet stations though bluetooth on your phone to the car for no extra charge and what ever songs are in your device's storage. They even shows the audio track tags on the display when on bluetooth or usb.
