100% Yes for that storage space that ran at Samsung's claimed 1.6GB/s speed...

It would make a huge difference for image management where I'm often loading many 60MB TIFF files in the course of looking over processed images.

Now mind you I'd be backing that up on the cheaper "real" hard drives, but for working with that speed would be fantastic and easily worth the money in terms of saved time and frustration over the life of the drive.

The thing is, that drive will probably be more like $5k which is a much harder amount to take... probably $2k is the edge for my own use.

That's really nice I agree, I have a few 4TB drives that I use for photography... but I would without hesitation pay 4x the price for the speed of an SSD (especially one not bound by SATA speeds, like the Samsung PCiE SSD...)

Pretty surge a purge of cheaters and revelation of what tools to look for is the BEST THING to happen just before a serious tournament. Probably a week earlier would have been ideal.

I distinctly remember after the crash there were comparisons between the way ambulance service is done in this country and how it is done in (most of) France.

Here, the general rule is scoop and go whereas in France the idea is perform treatment on the spot then get the person to a hospital.

This difference was used to explain why she died (bled out from internal injuries). The idea was, and as others on here have already commented, had she been taken directly to a hospital she had a better chance of survival than being held at the scene for nearly two hours while they worked on her.

What's amazing is that this 1996-era hack for extending the functionality of the Netscape browser, in a rather kludgy and unsafe way, still exists at all in 2014. I took a class at the Netscape office in Mountain View in 1997 to learn how to write NPAPI plugins and thought then that it was an ugly hack that deserved to go way soon, though I was glad it existed to solve my immediate problems. Not only did it not go away (though MS removed NPAPI support for IE a long time ago), nearly all major browsers today still support it.

FWIW, I don't worry over much about carbon. My EV purchase was based on purely economic analysis. Having driven an EV for a while, what I really dislike about gas burners is the noise and the smell. This isn't an environmental concern, or not a global environmental concern, anyway. It's about the environment of my garage.
