" Is this an attempt to cover the costs now SCO has filed for bankruptcy? Or is this a just a security breach?"

Tom O. writes: "While shutting down a computer with Windows XP Professional on it (which, according to Microsoft, is a pirate copy), I noticed that it said 'Shut Down and install 2 updates' on the shutdown dialog. I clicked that, thinking an error would come up, just wanting to see what would happen; but, it installed these updates successfully, no complaints! And, I snapped two shots of it using my camera."
