Google down?

clarkkent09 writes: Last night I couldn't connect to gmail from a friend's computer or from a phone and thought that was strange. This morning from home I am trying again still not working: "The server at www.google.com is taking too long to respond". I actually tried to google for any news on this .... but was forced to use other search engines instead and can't find anything. Am I the only one with this problem?
