Submission + - Text adventure + social networking = ?
uniq writes: Is there room for text adventures in the ever-escalating race for fps (whether that's first-person shooter or frames per second)? Some guys from Virginia Tech are working on one called Multifarion. From an article in the local paper: "The game, a takeoff on programs popular before the Internet and Nintendo, blends social-networking and choose-your-own adventure tools. It allows players to not only play games but also create and share their own adventures in user-submitted fictional lands." And from the game website: "The power to tell an interactive story lies within. To not just read the epic novel, but to shape it. To help others shape their epic novels. Enter a world where you join thousands of others to tell your story."
