We must have the option of turning this stuff off. Google already does a fantastic job of keeping spam out of my inbox, and I unsubscribe from bulk emails I don't want. The result is that I get only a couple emails per day. I don't need fancy features to organize them as I just use search to find what I want. I'm sure this will help people with email clutter problems but I just like it the way it currently is. So please let me turn it off, just like Gmail's last attempt at automatic sorting.

So is it illegal to own counterfeit products or only to sell them? For example, if you have a fake Gucci handbag can a Gucci employee come up to you with a can of spray-paint and spray it to ruin it? Or if you took it to a legit store and they discovered it was counterfeit could they do the same thing? I'm thinking this steps way way over the line of what they're allowed to do to stop counterfeiting and they're going to get their asses sued big-time.

They also list their dispatch numbers. That's what you call when you want to report a non-emergency. For example, I called it to report a completely wasted drunk lady causing a disturbance. Not quite enough to call 911 but I wanted to report her before she wandered into traffic.

People accept these when it's expected. When a UAC prompt comes up when opening a PowerPoint presentation downloaded off the internet I think even most casual users will wake up and cancel the request... unless it's my sister-in-law. She'll install anything.

Why re-invent the printer just to stamp a package? All of the major shipping companies let you print out a shipping label already. As for the other stuff, such as having the shipping company look up an address, that can all be done with software provided there's enough incentive to develop it.

How do you think Windows and Android launch image viewers? They associate the file format with the viewer and launch the viewer with the file as a command line argument. It is EXACTLY the same as it was when you had to type it on a command line. You're basically just complaining about windows' ability to hide file extensions, which is valid, but has really nothing to do with using icons instead of typing on a command line.

But it's so simple. All I have to do is divine from what I know of the FBI: are they the sort that would put their cracking abilities in the open or keep them for themselves? A clever administration would hide their secret abilities, but they know that we're not fools so clearly they would rather lie and say they could crack our encryption when clearly they can't...

Anyone wanna bet that they have no trouble breaking this encryption, or they have secret backdoors? This is just a big advertising campaign to get people to think they can't break it.
