Comment Re:EVE Online's approach (Score 1) 463

EVE's approach is even more broken, because at least grinding rewards the player for playing the game. In EVE, you are rewarded for queuing skills and logging out. Not to mention that a highly skilled player in a small ship can beat a less skilled player in a large ship. Or the fact that it takes months and months to actually get anywhere in the game, let alone start being fun.

Not to mention

SP:

- Those bloody cars that patrol the roads that will come burning around a corner guns blazing at you every 5 fucking minutes. Making what would normally be a 2 minute mission, 20 minutes. The overwhelming majority of which is killing the patrol cars, and emptying guard posts

- It can sometimes take emptying AN ENTIRE CLIP into a guy for him to die. I realize it is meant to be challenging. But an entire clip for 1 guy? While if you're using the sniper rifle it's 1 hit kills 90% of the time.

- WHY DOES THE SNIPER RIFLE NOT HAVE ANY SWAYING?

- In some areas of the game, there will be random NPC's with rocket launchers in the middle of nowhere. So you'll be driving along then BOOM and you're dead.

MP:

- In MP, you cannot join a DM/TDM game that is in progress WTF?

- The dedicated server is so unstable that not 1 single ISP in Australia is running servers for the game. 90% of the time, after a round has finished and you're meant to go back to the game lobby for the next map and for other people to join because you can't join once the game has started, you will be disconnected or receive some kind of error message and be taken back to the MAIN MENU, where you have to log back into Ubi online to play again, IF THE UBI AUTH SERVERS ARE ACTUALLY UP
