Being subjected to over paid messages is NOT free speech it PAID for speech. And there is NO WAY you can shoe horn it into our 'democratic' platform shoes. Damn bird dog humpers anyway go watch FOX news.

It would seem obvious if we were able to attain the speed of light and we should, someday, that inching over that boundary with added thrust would simply happen. Much like the speed of sound, once thought to be a boundary proved a minor one. I don't suppose it will be like warp speed on Star trek, a flash. BUT it might appear to make one disappear if you were able to see it happen.

Comment Re:Ron Wyden Edward Snowden (Score 2) 107

Ron Wyden is the peoples politician from Oregon. Time and time again he has stood up for our rights and got legislation passed when he could. Just look up his record. Thank him when you can for being there and doing what's within his realm. He really pushes back against corporate thuggery. As for senor Snowden you already know how I feel about him and I URGE you not to waste your next presidential vote and write in Edward Snowden as a candidate to let the nation know what we think. It is the BEST way to poke the 2 Parties in the ass and let them know how important he is to our rights that are getting trampled on. NO SECRETS no spies needed...

" The impact on the pharmaceutical industry could be staggering." Let me offer my deepest sympathy to the PAY MY PRICE OR DIE pharmaceutical industry. Other than making everybody feel like they are 2nd class citizens, doing without the newest latest drug product ADS on TV. And not adequate without some bone stiffening miracle product. They provide a very useful function. Keeping us from seeing our shows without (repeat the last 2 lines over and over all day.) Affordable health care should NOT involve the government paying their price but CONTROLLING their price Damn it.

Comment Mining? water to make oxygen (Score 1) 214

Who said it has to be minerals? Although that could ultimately be the goal. Water is known to be there thanks to NASA lately acknowledging (ever since China said they were going there) that we had clues earlier in the moon samples being moist but was passed off as somehow being 'contaminated.' Sure thing "Need Another Seven Astronauts." Sad joke sorry. An automated fuel station dividing O2 and H would certainly be cheaper than hauling all our oxygen and hydrogen from here. It could be filling tanks waiting for us to arrive All without humans even being involved. The most important resource WATER and fuel. Investors? Hope it isn't exxon mobil. Sign me up for a future mission.

Comment Re:I have said it before (Score 1) 384

"Nuclear is cheap." Where did you get that Idea? The cost of creating fuel and infrastructure is prohibitively expensive. In fact by the time you figure in all the petroleum it takes to construct a reactor, some of them never create a positive return. I speak of Trojan in NW Oregon that was mothballed after it needed a very expensive boiler rebuilt. (The spent fuel is still there.) The cost of finding a place to deposit it has never been achieved here in the USA. Maybe we should just drop all the safety concerns, to make it cheaper??? Or build wind turbines and photovoltaics...YES. And clean coal (with CO2 sequestration) for the reserve hrs. Lets get rid of nuclear power AND weapons too. Oh and grow old timber to replace what we so foolishly destroyed, while we're at it!
