The number of what? So the OT is written in hebrew and the NT in greek. From there we get KJV in english. That doesn't seem too excessive to me.
There are plenty of atheists and non-christians that make their own bibles though, all starting with wescot and hort http://www.jesus-is-savior.com/Bible/westcott_and_hort_exposed.htm
Even Zondervan, a bible publisher, is owned by a company that makes pornography.

Sadly, this 'whale' in the pictures isn't depicted as having any kind of feet.
That is just one problem I have with evolution and science in general. They show me a piece of a bone, tell me all about how it is a transitional fossil, then draw a pretty picture to fill in the missing parts and call it 'evidence'.
There is another word for that, it is called 'comic books'.

Just read the article. The wing span only decreased one centimeter. That is less than one millimeter a year. A one centimeter difference in wingspan won't help a bird at all, let alone one millimeter. You are not going to be "selected" because of one centimeter. Most of the birds I have hit with my car are usually in the middle of the windshield. To avoid the impact, the bird would have had to suddenly move more than two+ feet out of the way. One centimeter ain't going to help you there either...

I remember the 1980's. Lots of rain, lush green fields. Now here in the south in 2012, Everything is dead and brown, with fires everywhere from drought. Yet these two dimwitted "scientist" blame "evolution" for these smaller birds.

Probably just used the word evolution to get more grant money. Crooks...

I agree, batteries suck. I usually drive my cars for 10+ years and over 200k miles before getting another one. My current car (which is 12 years old) has had very little money spent on it maintenance wise. I am not going to buy any kind of electric vehicle if every 5 years I have to shell out thousands to get new batteries put in it. Just using batteries goes up against the theory of diminished returns as it is. A car that has to lug around 500+ pounds of batteries will never be as efficient as a car with a small gas motor. The whole idea is stupid and seems to be pushed by politics and not science.
