where are the 'hikers' now?
first, if they actually were hikers, why were they in a war torn country? thats kinda, moronic.
secondly, where was their map? compass? did they know how to read a map? remember, they were hikers.
lastly, who are we to question their justice system? we catch someone with a joint and toss em in jail for life. they cut off a hand. now what way is more cruel? ask anyone in prison for having a joint, they will give up their left hand to be free.
i personally think, being a simple hiker, you would try your best to avoid WAR and countries we want to have wars with.
the media portrays iran as a country that harbors terrorists. 10 years ago it was a great place to visit. the only difference that i cant find is money. it wont borrow money from the IMF. it wont get on board with every other in debt nation. it has its own currency. it has a supreme educational system. have you ever met a dumb Iranian? social security, noone is sick and homeless. its paid for, and everything cheap. (yes, i am sure there are homeless, but they are not hungry).
the usa has a way of drivign other countries into debt, and destroying what they have thats better just so we can be number 1 again. sorta like norton antivirus. destroy all competition...then the complete piece of crap can be number 1.
i am not pro iran. i am anti state run media. there are 2 sides to the story.
i do not agree with any internet crime getting more than a year or 2 in prison. but what he failed to do is check to see if there were any warrants for his arrest. thats what one should do anyway.
ot os their own sovereign nation, with their own laws. we, being the rest of the world, have no right to even question them.
if i had my own country, and made tobacco and booze illegal, would other countries pressure me into making those 2 legal? what would give them the right?
