I would love that feature on my car, when taking a long drive. It would prevent driving exhaustion.

Well a lot of these countries have rules that are made to prevent US companies from gaining traction there. Sure they hide it in terms of safety or something else the normal electorate can swallow but if you look at the details of the laws it is in essence an FU America law.

Being that in most area we have the choice of only one broadband provider. So we are reliant on taking what we can get. If we can have Broadband internet at the Local Town level, vs. State or Federal level. We can have internet and still be close enough to local government to control what goes on.

MaBell on the other hand was just what everyone used in the US. So we had to suck it up and pay for a monopoly.

The thing is with a municipal Internet. the carriers can still dominate the market, as they could the the Towns ISP. It is that they just won't get paid as much as charging everyone $70.00 a month.

Oddly enough a lot of my favorite movies and TV shows were during that time too.

I guess things were just better during the time where you didn't have any responsibilities.

Back in the day there were a lot of tricks that enhanced the graphics due to the blur.
The IBM CGA Display Used tricks on old monitors to enhance the output The Composite mode which is what standard TV's were like were blurry in high resolution 640x200 but, created color artifacts that could be utilized. The RGB displays were crisper but made all those tricks moot and you ended up with a B&W display.

Nintendo didn't want people to see the pixels they wanted to see the characters. So they did the graphics so the details that they felt was important showed.

Besides, do you really expect to increase your staff 100% to watch what everyone else is doing all the time. The recordings should be reserved for legal proceedings, not job evaluations.

Comment Red Hat distribution. (Score 1) 232

Red Hat use to have a distribution for everyone. It was one of the most popular Linux distributions. Then it moved to Red Hat Enterprise, and that really caused many of the Linux users to find something else and switch. Fedora is nice and all, but it felt like Red Hat throwing a bone.

Ubuntu came up and took its place as the distribution for everyone. Red Hat got stuck in the stuffy enterprise market.

As most people who know, Enterprise software means over priced software, that barely works, but somehow it makes executives feel good about using it, probably because they need a full IT Staff just to keep it running.

So companies who want to follow the buzzards of agile and nimble, have swapped to non-Red Hat based systems.
Nothing technical, just bad PR from Red Hat, that made them loose their fan base.
