It's worse than that, even: Go Daddy even publicly still supports SOPA!
It's an post from October, but it's still up, un-edited, so I can only conclude that, when Jones says

That myopic view has never been shared by Go Daddy.

In our view, Internet policy should strive to balance the sometimes competing goals of the global free flow of information (which is clearly critical to U.S. businesses), with enforcement of the rule of law. We don't see those competing goals as mutually exclusive, but rather, complimentary. In fact, that balance is essential to a flourishing, yet safe, Internet.

it's still valid Go Daddy policy.

Submission + - Go Daddy still officially supports SOPA. (rudysyndrome.com)

blind biker writes: Much has been said in the previous few days of Go Daddy's support for the SOPA and PIPA bills. Go Daddy has helped draft SOPA, but reacting to a boycott campaign initiated from a Reddit post, the reviled registrar decided to engage in a half-hearted PR move to stop the exodus. Many have warned that Go Daddy hasn't truly changed stance, only that they will hide their true intentions from the public view from now on. Well, it turns out Go Daddy's general counsel and corporate secretary (who helped draft SOPA) still throws the company's weight firmly behind the bill. In her blog post, Christine Jones signs in her official figure of Go Daddy representative, and states: In our view, Internet policy should strive to balance the sometimes competing goals of the global free flow of information (which is clearly critical to U.S. businesses), with enforcement of the rule of law. We don't see those competing goals as mutually exclusive, but rather, complimentary. In fact, that balance is essential to a flourishing, yet safe, Internet. As you can see, there is absolutely no reason not to take part in the Dump Go Daddy Day by moving your domains to an anti-SOPA registrar. Here is an easy, step-by-step illustrated guide on how to move your domains out of Go Daddy.

"we fired N-Control as a client about 8 months ago due to constant shipping delays (which we had to deal with) and their association with Paul Cristoforo who is a street thug masquerading as a self proclaimed "Marketing Professional". This guy is a complete fool and somehow strong armed his way into working with the company so we walked away. I am not surprised in the slightest bit by what's going on right now. In fact, we told the owners of the company on many occasions that this would eventually happen."
So the zeal is well directed at the "manufacturers" (actually, branders only, since the controller is manufactured by a contractor in China) of the controller.

Amazon Patents Deducing Religion From Gift Wrap 164

theodp writes "If you're the giver or recipient of presents gift-wrapped by Amazon, you may want to take a gander at U.S. Patent No. 8,060,463, granted to Amazon last month for Mining of User Event Data to Identify Users with Common Interests. Among other things, Amazon explains the invention can be used to identify recipients of gifts as Christian or Jewish based on wrapping paper. From the patent: 'The gift wrap used by such other users when purchasing gifts for this user, such as when the gift wrap evidences the user's religion (in the case of Christmas or Hanukkah gift wrap, for example.)'"

I think the solution is simple and science-based, but not sure if it will be implemented - because those who have the power now, will never allow for such to be implemented or even mentioned in the media: just filter out psychopaths. There are tests that can catch them, for instance by checking for their lack of fear of impending incident (they don't blink), their complete lack of remorse and ability to lie. Psychopaths are power-hungry and are the people that should NEVER be let close to power. Filter them out, and your will have a working democracy.
