Regardless of why they are moving, the point is that they are. The cities and the infrastructure aren't mobile, but the people are. People move and resettle all the time for many reasons. Calling any human settlement "fixed" is rather misleading.
Don't handle change well? Umm what kind of time scale are we talking about here? Human populations, especially in urban concentrations are very mobile. The vast majority of major cities have popped up from small towns over the course of 100 years or less.

Not to mention that the original replacement for TEL was MTBE http://www.epa.gov/mtbe/gas.ht... which is still in use in limited quantities. MTBE has been largely replaced with ethanol for octane boosting. Ethanol is pretty cheap compared to MTBE, but it carries large government subsides.
Leaded fuel can still be sold for use in aircraft and race cars in the US.
The first time I had to use Windows 8 it was at a hotel and I was trying to print a PDF. I had to give up... Metro is the worst interface ever. I'm sure if you had a day long training explaining where you randomly move your mouse to so buttons appear it might be usable, but seriously... I'd rather use DOS. I mean if I can only use one application at a time, where is the advantage?
Ahh so it's not just little sisters being computer illiterate, but also for your mother who stays in the kitchen cooking... The full quote is SO much better.
Heck I'd be happy if having a single desktop across multiple screens worked worth a damn.
Technically the Earth's core would drop into it... But I guess it depends on your frame of reference.
But Miata is the answer to everything! Just ask Jalopnik, who like Slashdot is owned by idiots (Gawker in this case) that insist on repeatedly pissing off their users by changing the site layout and commenting system.
Ahh, I see... The mass goat.cx posting fest. The worst thing you could wish upon someone. Makes sense.
I am allowed to log in and mod down anyone who posts?
I propose we call it TildeBracket ~] (are brackets allowed in web addresses?)
It is easier to change the specification to fit the program than vice versa.
