TheUni writes: "Team XBMC is preparing to release the next major version of the media center program to coincide roughly with Ubuntu 9.04. I've spoken with some of the developers and project managers, and they are up for an interview about the current status and future plans/goals/suggestions. Slashdot seems to have a relatively large following of XBMC users, and so it should garner a reasonable response.
