Depends. My C-64 emulator runs faster than the original in 1983.

Sometimes they can be nice. I run a TI-89 emulator on my Android phone. Much more practical than buying a bulky calculator.
" by providing Windows 10 free (if you upgrade in first year) they will be the largest single OS provider in the world"
Assuming people even WANT to "up"grade. From whiceat I've seen from windows 10 I will stick with 7 for now. As a non-company I don't care about price anyway, I'll just pirate a version I like. When people not even want to pirate their software MS has a problem.
The far more software that is being developed are desktop applications. Noone cares about windows phone apps, and being able to run them on the desktop doesn't change that.
" a privacy-respecting nation such as Netherlands"
Ouch... You don't live in The Netherlands, do you? We have, like most western countries, our share of privacy attacks from the government. Mostly to satisfy the tax service, like storing all license plates of cars who drive on the highways or park in a private parking garage (to catch drivers of a leasecar who claim they use it only for business and don't pay the extra income tax). And there is discussion about forcing people to give up their encryption keys if the police wants them, ignoring laws that you have the right to remain silent (except when...).
I don't want a phone that "just works". I want a phone I can play with and tweak to my preferences. Windows phony and iOS are too locked down and the former has no sepcialist apps anyway. I prefer Android, rooted of course with my privecy protected by XPosed and XPrivacy. If I need a phone that "just works" I buy a $11 Samsung burner phone. Much cheaper.
"Why on parity?"
Yeah, I'd say execute him twice.
"Then again, somebody has to go first."
No, why? What's so bad about FM that it needs replacing? And even if you replace it, why would you do it with a dead standard that has failed to become popular when it might have mattered, and is now outdated already? If you want digital, use 3G/4G; if you just want radio, analoge FM is the best there is.
"seatbelt not buckled"
That warning not functioning would be an actual advantage.
Good luck with most modern European cars. There aren't any unless you buy a second hand 10 years old one.
I need that lighter socket to charge my phone, especially when the navigator is on. Do these units come with extra USB sockets? Otherwise I need a one to many socket multiplier first but those are bulky.
This is, but since all those followers don't want to use this technique but instead prefer Javascripts and cookies on the sites you visit they make it quite easy for you: use plugins like Ghostery to block them.
And free the population of the religious oppression. Hey,that worked well in the middle east as well, didn't it? Now it's time for the ISA to be bombed.
"I need Linux for work."
Run it in a virtual machine.
" The second, another driver decided to use the right lane as a passing lane in a 4 lane road, driving 55 while everyone else is going 35, denying anyone in the left lanes the ability to change lanes and make a right turn. Let me repeat, that was just today."
You call that risky behaviour? Go drive in Paris, Rome, Manilla or Shanghai and then we'll talk again.
