Comment repeat offenders? (Score 1) 326

Prisoners should be treated humanely. I get that. What I would like to know is how many prisoners who were released after being confined in solitary for a long period of time are repeat offenders. I suspect that, given the horrible conditions of solitary, most of them would do anything to avoid going back to prison. If that is true, then it really is an effective rehabilitation technique, and ultimately reduces crime.

Actually yes, solar can be the whole solution. In my case I generated 538kwh in the past 30 days with 16 - 250w panels, in the dead of winter. My all-electric car uses about 300kwh per month. In the summer I generate far more power than I need, and this compensates for extra power I use in the winter.

The TFV does NOT show the incident pilot flying a helicopter FPV a few feet from his face. Note at the end of the video he reaches up to turn off the camera almost immediately after landing. Large helicopters take up to a minute for the rotor to spin down. Also the heli that killed him had a rotor span of 600 mm, so he wouldn't have been able to reach the camera. In this video he was flying a multi-copter, which use much smaller propeller blades that stop almost immediately.
