I didn't RTFA of course but if that's how it works it's retarded!

If a file is that important I'd just do a hard shutdown/power off (in case Windows runs updates or some other disk write on normal shutdown) and boot of a live disk/USB with PhotoRec or whatever your preferred file recovery software.

Any other method is defective by design!

Being forced to invest £x00M in a GPS system DOES seem like a waste of money, but Brexit is a political reality now.

Just to clarify this to anyone who doesn't know, the UK has already contributed £1,200m towards Galileo and we're about to chuck another £500m at our own version just to start off with. Experts agreed in 2018 (before the world economy f***ed up with Covid19) that it'll likely cost us £3bn-£5bn:
And if you believe that's all it'll cost just look at the budgeting they did for CrossRail 2!

100% agree.

1. Face masks don't protect *you* unless they cover your eyes.

2. Face masks don't protect other people if they have an 'exhale' valve like these:

(the exhale valve is to make breathing easier and to prevent moisture build up in the mask)

Arguably the exhale valve might actually spread the virus further as you're forcing a proportion of your breathe through a smaller gap than it would otherwise pass through (think how a hose works). Not to mention that if you *think* you are protecting others by wearing such a mask you're less likely to observe social distancing, or consider breathing in in the other direction when unavoidably close to other people at the shop etc...
