Comment Loss of respect (Score 2) 96

Early superhero movies were interesting. The advancement in CGI made it possible to portray superhuman forces. It quickly lost appeal though, because of the endless milking of the franchises.

I am glad that actual reality would make a comeback, because like with miniature ships, the camera and actors as physical objects respect the physical world as well. There is a certain graciousness and largeness in that, which is rarely attained with CGI. Directors, cinematographers, and producers create wild and nausea-inducing unrealistic movements - only because it is possible and the audience is made to want that, to beat some other silly production. In the end everything feels small.

Of the recent movies Dune got the scale of things right, quite nicely.

I can get mobile data at about 8 cents per gig on Free in the Caribbean (120 gigs on 4G, 9.99 euros is the monthly price for the subscription all else included as well, not a fixed term contract). It is markedly cheaper than competitors. It is unbelievable how expensive mobile data is around the world. In Finland all plans are unlimited, and they are not expensive. Fair use is mentioned in the terms of services, but to get notified about it requires a huge amount of usage.

I find these optimization exercises very interesting. The extreme methods can trickle down to production vehicles eventually. Viewing and building things from outside of some manufacturers paradigm can produce valuable innovations.

Not everything needs to be instantly mass produced, and perfecting the art forces toolset evolution as well.

Testing in production is bold but in other words reckless also. Cost cutting at the expense of safety results in accidents eventually. Systemic so-called bold safety culture is not what gets shit done but turns things into shit. I applaud SpaceX and follow what they are doing, but as an engineer, I see the safety margins very thin. Hopefully, the damages are not big but I would not risk lives on hope. It is a pattern that lead to the implosion of Titan submersible and the loss of life. Denigrating FAA by Musk is not unlike what Rush did to DNV, but at least he seems to follow their guidance.

The silliest episode was the destruction of the concrete launch base, which threw trash everywhere and destroyed property like cars and such. Now they are building a proper one, which they could have done initially if they had wanted. Breaking the previous one was unnecessary for the sake of moving forward - a dangerous show.

I find it also hilarious how the nearby village is danger close and inhabitants need to evacuate themselves from the peace of their own homes during testing and operations. They consented to it, but still. I am not against space exploration at all and I have been a space buff since a little kid, but things have been done better.

It is possible to have an orgasm without ejaculation. It is not an illness or a malfunction. Orgasm is the mental side and ejaculation is the physical side of it. To be multi-orgasmic as a man requires only a slightly bit more self-knowledge and sensitivity to oneself, to separate the both. The orgasm(s) that results from the practice is longer lasting and more fulfilling.

This is not a joke or spiritual idiocy. The practice is dead simple and works splendidly. Exploring ones sexuality is one part of growth as a human (and a man). It is possible to go much further than what is readily assumed, and in consequence to be a more richer sexual provider.

There is a function for porn, but it generally shows awkwardly bad sex. Truly learning about oneself is about not watching porn at all, and focusing on inner sensations. One of the biggest misconceptions ever is that male orgasm is the same as ejaculation. Moving forward from that illusion and learning more will enhance the sex life for all.
