You hit upon my biggest complaint about craigslist. The trust factor is terrible. All it would take is for them to implement user logins with the ability of the buyer/seller to rate each other. Yea, it's just like ebay and it is always subject to abuse, but I think it would help more than the current system. Until I see ratings on sellers, I am very, very leery of buying anything from craiglist.

I know everyone is going to mark the OP as a troll, but I have to agree. I started out using PHPNuke nearly 10 years ago. I moved on to PostNuke, then Joomla, then Drupal, back to Joomla, then Wordpress. Of all the CMS/Blog software I have used, Drupal was the most unintuitive and cumbersome. Everything about it was hard to do, hard to customize. I could not stand it. I've never understood how so many people can love it so much.

Don't worry though.... Much like a person who gets into politics with good intentions, they too will become jaded just like the rest of their coworkers.....

I'd like to make another comment. I'm a network engineer and my wife is an RN, 10+ years. I know first hand that IT can be thankless and people look at you as a blue collar worker there to do their bidding. But in Nursing, it's worse. People expect you to be their Nurse, Doctor, Waiter, Grief Counselor, Social Worker and clean up their poop. Nursing may be stable and pay good money, but if I was to look for an under appreciated class of educated professionals, Nursing would be two rungs below IT on the respect ladder.

I actually agree with you. My wife would kill me if I tried to string up extension cables across every room just so I can tweet my power usage. Not to mention, I don't know if a single plug could handle all the stuff in my television/computer room. Besides, how many houses do you know that plugs every electrical device into a socket or even 110? What about the Fridge and the dryer?

Give me a way to measure my whole house, then graph it over time, then I can do something with this.
