You are correct. For the longest time I ran a dual 667mhz pentium 3's in an Intel OR840 Dual Slot 1 Workstation Board, with 2 gigs of rambus.

That machine was such a beast - it benchmarked faster then 1.8 ghz pentium 4s. It was not until dual core pentium D's were released that I was willing to give up using it as my desktop. In fact the machine is still running right now as a firewall.

I've always wondered why the guy who made gnome did not just use a damn mac. If you like mac, you like it because it is a mac (and all that entails). I mean what is a mac? The culture, the marketing, the packaging, the case, the hardware, the user experience. You will never be able to reproduce that mac user experience, unless of course you can match the level of engineering and support and design and effort and genius that went into creating the mac user experience. But here is this guy, who is going to make a system that is just like the mac, except better, all by himself.

The game does not even have to be built - only the engine.

The engine is not any harder to build then say, PHP and Apache, which are requirements to play the HTML5 entries.

Yes, I have. Both systems are built using mid range off-the-shelf PC components. The systems are not targeting hardcore gamers, but rather casuals and soccer moms.

It is completely beyond me how those two stories have not garnered more press. Thats bigger than the Dorner case considering it's basically giving rights to the LAPD to open fire on absolutely anybody and get away with it.

Attach rate is meaningless when discussing hardware. Software has attach rates, not hardware. Attach rate is the percentage of console owners that own a specific software title. Example : Wii Sports has a 70% attach rate - that means Wii Sports is owned by 70% of console owners.

Hardware has Tie Ratios. The Tie Ratio tells you the average number of software titles purchased for each console. Example : The Wii U has a tie ratio of 2.1 - that means each Wii U owner purchased 2.1 games on average.

Compare that to the wii tie ratio of ~8, or the xbox software tie ratio of 11+.
