My favorite use for any G5 has been in the Marine environment as a Geo-Synchronous aquatic stabilizer.
To use simply load any flavor of Linux you prefer, attach one (1) CAT5 securely to the G5 unit and to your MTV (Marine Transportation Vehicle). Place the G5 into a solution of 100% Dihydrogen Monoxide and feed out the CAT5 cable as needed to achieve Geo-Synchronous aquatic stabilization. If however you prefer to use a solution of 96.5% Dihydrogen Monoxide and 3.5% Sodium Chloride then I highly recommend networking a minimum of 100 G5 units securely attached with multiple CAT5 cables or scaled to the size of your MTV.

Except we don't really have two opposite forces, we have a right wing party and a far right wing party.

This looks like a case of the pot calling itself a kettle. It's getting bad when the left hates the left so much that it convinces itself that it is actually the right!

Wow, this is hilarious! It's like watching a video of a cat barking! Seriously?!? A right wing and a far right wing?

If Lee's blog post is to be believed, Apple plans to sell nearly twice as many tablets as it did iPhones in the product's first year."

Chinese Censor-Beating Software Resembles Malware, But Isn't 160

coondoggie writes "Software designed to beat Chinese censorship may behave in ways that seem suspect, but it is all part of the application's strategy to fool the Great Firewall of China, according to one programmer of the software. 'There are many built-in tricks that do all kinds of things to confuse the firewall,' says David Tian, a scientist for NASA who works spare-time on UltraSurf, the free software designed to promote unrestricted Internet access for citizens of China persecuted for being members of Falun Gang, the religious group the Chinese government is trying to suppress."

Adblock Plus Maker Proposes Change To Help Sites 615

Dotnaught writes "Wladimir Palant, maker of the Firefox extension Adblock Plus, on Monday proposed a change in his software that would allow publishers, with the consent of Adblock Plus users, to prevent their ads from being blocked. Palant suggested altering his software to recognize a specific meta tag as a signal to bring up an in-line dialog box noting the site publisher's desire to prevent ad blocking. The user would then have to choose to respect that wish or not."
