This is why the Comcast deal to buy 51% of NBC Universal could run afoul not only from competing cable systems, small-dish satellite TV providers and other cable content providers, but also could get a LOT of scrutiny from Congress, FCC and FTC.

The fear is simple: Comcast could shut out other cable content providers on Comcast cable systems and/or pull NBC Universal-owned channels from competing cable systems and small-dish satellite providers (the current spat between DirecTV and Comcast-owned Versus channel will be NOTHING compared to what happens if Comcast were to threaten to pull CNBC off non-Comcast cable systems, DirecTV and Dish Network).

.NET is far superior for Windows desktop application development. Big surprise there ;-)

Also, for what its worth, C# is a far more advanced language now than Java. Probably because they care more about moving things forward than actively supporting people who want to pretend new versions don't exist for eons. (*cough* people who still only support Java 1.4 *cough*)

That being said, Java is still a far more versatile and community-oriented platform than .NET, in no small part to the "official VM/SDK" being available for more than one platform.

Yeah, except economics is a serious subject that takes years of study, and you are a nobody repeating overly simplistic ideas which the experts have unanimously rejected.

Keep fighting the man though, I'm sure "Austrian economics" will get accepted if enough people with no economic knowledge on the internet believe it. Just like the gold standard.
That's how economic policy works, right?

I got it, and nearly everyone there did as well. My anatomy class tracked the number of ill students...up to 85 of 1400 students were ill one day in September. This was in Atlanta, GA. Far exceeded the statistics from last year or our disturbances from seasonal flu. A couple of kids had seizures from high fever, but otherwise it was relatively innocuous, just an annoying cold with an annoying fever.

He was saying exactly that; slaves were taken better care for than most people think. Same as livestock is exactly the point, they were better taken care of than most people think.

What you are spouting is typical for people who can't hold a discussion about a subject without going for hyperbole. In a discussion about the physical well-being of slaves there's no reason to muddy the waters by bringing in freedom, when that's not the aspect under discussion.

okay, fine: not vegetable, therefore animal or mineral. funny how you object to having the same sort of underhanded tactic used against you.

Care to address the substance of the response? Specifically, when you read the actual complaint, it is a prison labor camp. The question of whether his claims are supported is a different issue.
