Yes, it matters.

I recommend watching the documentary "Behind The Curve" on Netflix. I watch it last night and it was a real eye-opener.

In the last few years, Flat Earthers have gone from being a joke to something that a lot of people take very, very seriously. These people go hand-in-hand with anti-vaxxers, climate change deniers and creationists as part of a new wave of "Anti-Intellectualism".

Flat Earthers want Flat Earth theory to be taught in schools. That statement alone should be enough to make you realize that this has now gone beyond a joke and is something that should be vehimintly denied. The problem is that Flat Earthers are impossible to reason with. They keep saying "there is no scientific proof for a round earth", but if you try to present any sort of proof they completely dismiss it. Some of them even tried to do their own experiments to prove the earth was flat and (surprise, surprise) the experiments instead showed that the earth was round. This then just leads them to believe that their experiment is flawed in someway. They are completely unwilling to take on board any facts that disprove the flat earth theory.

The funny thing is, Mark Sargent (the "King" of the Flat Earthers) says that you should "question everything". Yet these people are completely unwilling to question their own theory.

You can disable any app you want in Android, even built in ones. Go into the app settings and click "Disable". This will uninstall all the updates for that app, remove it from your app drawer, and prevent it from ever running.

The only thing it won't do is reclaim the space for the original (unpatched) app. It will still exist in the system partition, but it won't ever run until you re-enable it.

But yet they've still managed to make it worse than cygwin. My main gripe is that IO is dog slow. Trying to do a "git pull" on a relatively large repo will just hang. I've never left it long enough to find out how long it would actually take.

You might have an add-on installed that causes Firefox to disable its multi-process support.

Go to about:support and look for "Multiprocess Windows". If it says "0/1" then it is disabled and will give you the reason why. The reason will probably be something like "Disabled due to an add-on", in which case, try disabling your add-ons one-by-one until you find the culprit.

Comment DDG and Bing also gives fake news result (Score 5, Interesting) 183

Typing the same search "presidents in the klan" into DDG also puts the same fake news result at the top (at least it's at the top if I set my location to UK. If I set it to worldwide it comes in second). Bing also puts the same story at the top. So this is not just Google's problem. It's a problem that all search vendors need to tackle collectively.
