Comment IE 6 is the issue (Score 1) 1213

One of the most important issues that are stopping corporations from moving to Win7 is that a lot of business software is requiring IE 6 in order to function and does not work well in computability mode. So, until software "utilities" providers such as payroll, etc. companies make their software work well in IE8/Firefox/Chrome, adaption of Windows7 will be slipping. On the other hand, there are options, such as VMWare's ThinApps that would allow to still run IE6 on user desktops side-by-side with IE8.

Comment Cool! (Score 1) 286

Say what you will about Google, but I appreciate a lot the fact that company manages to stay COOL while becoming so huge!

Also, I wonder if by just going ahead and replacing functionality of the second biggest button on a screen Google accepts (or is going to find out as part of this experiment) that "I'm feeling lucky" button is completely useless?

Comment Bad aura is brewing around G4 iPhone ... (Score 1) 466

It feels like there is a trend of bad things happening to people who get close to G4 iPhone. This could become a problem with product perception for marketing of this device when Apple actually goes live with it...

On the other hand, it's Apple we are talking about -- people will buy even plastic-covered vomit from them, as long as it's called iVomit.
