More likely they will goe 3-strikes with us, send out 2 DMCA notices and reserve the last for our government kill switch. Too conspiracy theorist? Just take a look at how friendly the White House is with the *AA fellows. They'll enact 3-strikes with a name like Protect Our Receptive Newborns and Abolish Worldwide Atrocious Yuckystuff (PORN AWAY for short). You're not protecting your children if you vote no.

I remember having to emulate older machines and systems such as the Enigma in one of my college classes. I'd have to say the Enigma is still a relevant tool today (be it for learning and not hiding wartime transmissions).

I don't know what happened with the application but here's the real boat patent: http://www.google.com/patents/about?id=cPMTAAAAEBAJ. It's a much better read than the playoff ones IMHO.
Anyways, would copying the abstract be considered patent infringement or copyright infringement? Either way, boat guys need to get their act together to protect their abstract IP.

I love 1&1. I've held about 10 domains with them for the past 6 years and only had a problem once (They lost all my DNS settings+subdomains but gave me a free year, awesome service). Whenever I hear someone talking about setting up a site with GoDaddy I cringe and point them to using 1&1 if it's not too late. I don't like the price hikes they've been doing but I suppose it is understandable.
