Comment Invisible fences (Score 1) 828

On my larger estates I use the old time method of invisible fences. Thats a contouring of the land and vegetation so that approaching hostiles don't realize they are approaching either a steep drop off, or a vertical wall until they are almost upon it. If they are coming fast, that's all you need.

Harley's get about the same fuel economy as your 600. Around here the people most likely to earn motorcycle riders a bad name are the crotch rocket commandos who take out themselves (and sometimes others) riding at over 100 on the street.

People who complain about what others ride, drive or wear should all be banished to some socialist utopia where everyone is the same.

Comment Re:Improved snapshots? (Score 1) 374

VirtualBox snapshots seem to work by redirecting new information to the snapshot file, leaving the original disk image file in the state it was in before the snapshot as taken. I found this out when I copied a .VDI file to a different host and created a machine for it. It worked fine, but had none of the updates I had done since the first snapshot was taken. This probably explains why you can't jump to a random snapshot in a series and still retain later ones. Re-using an earlier one and modifying its disk image would invalidate all later snapshots because they are layered over the original disk image and over each other.
