For the record I was going with 2017 figures, but still, wtf man? You're arguing that *53* deaths a day is somehow an acceptable thing? Whatever dude, that's still abhorrent.
There were 285 knife murders in England and Wales in 2017/18 — the highest number since the Second World War — and 34 in Scotland, giving a combined British rate of 0.48 per 100,000. In the US, the number for 2017 was 1,591, giving an almost identical rate of 0.49.
You lose over a hundred a day to gun crime which never even make the news, yet a killing spree which is modest by US standards is headline news over here.
Woah, we give free housing? I wasn’t even advocating that, just a bed. If that’s the case why do I see so many people sleeping on the street?
There should be a guaranteed basic caloric intake, we have enough give everyone basic provisions. Guaranteed bed and place to take a shower. No luxury but enough for some dignity. Guaranteed access to enough education to get you a job. Beyond that you're on your own.
China is a world leader in renewables. They're having their industrial revolution emitting a fraction of the pollution any of the established economies did. We should look to them for guidance instead of "America, fuck yeah"
Although they're almost synonymous now, does anyone know the historical distinction? I'm guessing Return is related to the Return statement in programming and Enter was designed to Enter a line item like a value in a multi line calculation.
I picked heart disease because it causes more deaths than anything else in developed nations. It's literally the biggest killer out there. The same cannot be said for the common cold.
Of course you choose what to follow. If you have the facility and decide to cure the common cold instead of heart disease, you have made the wrong choice
My comment was more flippant than I meant, you have hit the nail on the head.
Thatâ(TM)s a good point. Economically it makes sense. In fact (tinfoil hat) thatâ(TM)s exactly why amazon are doing it!
âoethe common coldâ doesnâ(TM)t kill anyone*
*In any real sense. I concede there are one-in-a-billion edge cases.
If the option was to eradicate spamming firms (common cold) or nuclear detonations (heart disease) Iâ(TM)d go for the latter.
The effects are minimal and mortality is zero. Seriously, study something else.
Your analysis is flawed. Secretions are internal to the body, excretions are external.
