I totally agree with you that United States should also stop all virus gain-of-function research. Actually you know what? The Obama administration became so concerned with the potential for a worldwide virus pandemic arising from an accidental release at a lab, that the White House banned all virus gain-of-function research in the United States. Yeah. I'm not a fan of Obama, at all... but this is one thing that he did right. I applaud him for that.

Oh and the same Obama administration was informed by a team of US scientists and intel people, waaay back when Trump was just a B-rated reality TV personality and COVID was not a thing, that after visiting the Wuhan lab in China, they had extremely grave concerns about the lax safety procedures there and the very real possibility of an accidental virus release.

Kudos to these Chinese researchers for what seems to be a significant new achievement in fusion research.

Now if we the rest of the world could force China to stop monkeying around with virus DNA and doing gain-of-function research on deadly pathogens, and instead concentrate on more useful stuff like fusion, maybe in the future we will be spared of global disease pandemics like the one we just went through.

I think it's because the big money corporatists (and the Democrats that they own) love Communist China because they make too much money off China, and they don't wanna piss off the CCP by ever mentioning Taiwan.

China also owns the WHO, that Tedros guy is dirty as fuck. It's actually quite funny, there was news guy interviewing some WHO people about the coronavirus and the reporter mentioned Taiwan and the WHO guy (not Tedros but one of his underlings, a British guy) said,

China's strength is finding deadly bat viruses, tinkering with them in a lab, then releasing them accidentally on the world.

China didn't accidentally release the virus on the world. They did it intentionally.

Think back to late January 2020. Coronavirus is exploding through Wuhan and scary videos of bodies piling up outside hospitals are going viral on Liveleak. I remember it like it was only a few months ago (well actually I suppose it *was* only a few months ago)

The Communist Party leadership finally realizes that this virus is a super serious problem, they panic, and they give the order to put the city of Wuhan on lockdown. The military puts up roadblocks and stops anyone from leaving the city on foot or by car. All domestic flights are shuttered. And rightly so; you wouldn't want infected people hopping on a flight to other cities and spreading the disease.

But wait a second, they shut down domestic flights, but allow INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS to continue. WTF? What possible rationale could be behind such a move? Why would you prevent people from flying out of Wuhan to Beijing, but keep allowing them to fly to New York or Paris?

The only thing that makes any sort of sense is that the Chinese leadership realized that their country is now fucked by this new virus, so might as well infect rest of the world and bring them down also. Share the misery.

Case in point. A few days later the United States and Australia banned travellers coming into their countries who had been in China within the past 14 days (14 days being what was commonly thought at the time the maximum incubation period of this disease). What did China say in response?

"THAT'S RACIST. There is no reason to ban travelers from China." And for some unfathomable reason, the World Health Organization repeats exactly, verbatim, what the Chinese Communist Party says. "There is no reason to ban flights from China. This is not a pandemic. Restricting travel doesn't work anyways, it could interefere with medical personnel and make the situation worse."

C-Milk found evidence of China Communist Party trying to cover up an embarrassing mistake. Why is this shocking to anyone? Other communist countries do this all the time. Snowden on the other hand DID sign an agreement to protect U.S. secrets when he became an NSA contractor. He went through an extensive background check. Unfortunately nobody told these kids that yor're not supposed to inhale oil into your lungs, EVER. It's very very bad, mmkay?

No reputable company sells oil-based vaping products, these kids either did it themselves or got it from a shady character in a street corner.

Kids are known to do extremely stupid things. For instance, ingesting Tide pods and sniffing plastic cement glue to get high. Only exception I can think of is very small countries like Singapore that has no remote unpopulated land to bury the garbage. For them it would make economic sense to ship their garage to foreign lands. But clearly US is not lacking such places.

Is it because shipping products is mostly one-way? Like, ships leave China (or Malaysia) full of products bound for US, but on the return trip are mostly empty since US does not export much to these countries. Therefore the price to ship stuff from US to China is very cheap because those ships have to go back to China anyways even if they're empty? Is that it?
