Tivo didnt invent anything that wasnt already KNOWN. THey took existing hardware, tied it together with some nice software and see 'oo look at we invented'. The DVR was an inevitable INCREMENTAL improvement to the VCR.
Clearly spoken as someone who has never used a TiVo and has no clue what they do.
We're on opposite sides of this. My MMO of choice is Second Life, where standing around and chatting is what I do 95% of the time.
Aha, well. This explains everything you just said. Second life is not really a GAME, per se, it's a 3d chat room with flying penises and simulated sex. Which is cool, if you're into that sort of thing. But not exactly the same sort of MMO as CO* or WoW.
Your spending limit is clearly printed on your contract with Sprint, and you are required to initial that section confirming that you are aware of it.
Only if you HAVE a spending limit. Many accounts do not.
I get the impression that TiVo is fighting a losing battle. At their prime a few years ago, most cable and satellite TV providers weren't offering a comparable DVR service. Now, almost everyone offers DVR as a service, and unless TiVo has lowered the price of their devices or service, its cheaper to go through the cable company. I have Time Warner, and I find their dvr service in many ways superior to TiVo. I don't have to have an extra box that requires an IR transmitter that i have to stick on my existing cable box. Not only that, but my DVR box (and I gather most others as well) has two tuners, allowing me to record and watch to separate programs. It seems like it is something Tivo is going to have a hard time competing with.
A) "DVR Service" != TiVo
B) If you find Time Warner's "DVR Service" superior to TiVo, your opinions are clearly not to be trusted.
C) Many (Most? All?) TiVo's no longer require an IR blaster; they can be hooked up serially or have tuners built-in.
D) Have you ever actually seen a TiVo?
E) DirecTV and TiVo are allegedly partnering back up again towards the end of this year for a dual-tuner HD DirecTiVo that should be the shiznit.
As has been said above the number of Mandarin speakers dwarves the numbers of English speakers, even as a second language.
No, it was said above that the number of "Chinese (All Dialect)" speakers was close to, but less than, the total number of English speakers. Read again: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_languages_by_total_number_of_speakers
Having gone travelling recently, many English dialects are mutually incomprehensible. Some within a 20 mile radius.
Um, I call B.S. *Throws BS Flag*
This would be restricted to single player games huh? No way am I uploading that info and downloading a stream while also playing on a full 32 person server.
No, it is also for multiplayer games. This was demoed at the GDC. Check out IGN or G4 for some multiplayer Crysis gameplay footage.
Don't forget that when you buy a Kindle book you cannot lend, sell, or give it away. If you purchase an interesting book for your Kindle and your wife wants to read it, she'll have to buy her own copy or borrow your entire Kindle.
Seems to me that this severely reduces the value of eBooks, so they should really cost about 1/3 - 1/2 of the paperback price to make up for it.
Not true. You can, in fact, lend, sell or give your Kindle away. Amazon will in fact help you by removing your info from the device and wiping it from remote. http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B000FI73MA/ref=/ref=cm_cd_f_pb_un
