Even without the bug, the whole concept is horribly intrusive. Yuck.
A cheap, simple fitbit could probably do most of that.
Its not as interesting though because there are bound to be plenty of exoplanets orbiting stars within 23 light years. A brown dwarf inside a tenth of a light year though...
[1] The closest of these new discoveries is roughly 23 light-years away from the Sun. Many more of these brown dwarfs are in the 30–60 light-year distance range.
My excuse is that I am recovering from surgury. I live in Melbourne and am unable to go out to buy food for much of the time due to our covid lockdown. My son is studying from home in my place during the day and my employer gave me an ubereats voucher to help out with my working days.
I am surprised UberEats is losing money too. I am in lockdown and working from home. I got my lunches from UberEats every day this week. I have never used them before.
Isn't that the guy who's promotion was held back by the USAF for shooting a cow or something?
I am in my 50s and have just joined an amateur radio club. Admittedly many of the members would be over 70. A lot of what goes on is hacking with technology generally, with some radio applications in the mix. But I can see our numbers contracting in the coming decades.
Best not to mention xemacs to RMS. He still gripes about it.
His mother doesn't find the hundreds of kilos of cash in his bedroom.
On the same day my son was booked in for a motorbike license course. I called ahead and found that the training organization was an essential service, so lessons went ahead. Seems inconsistent to me.
Great read, I thought this comment was pertenant:
I think the main issue is the the immune [system] does not really see the lung surface as well as other tissues. The lung surface is really outside the body. So all those nice viruses get an easier time of evading the immune system
Like Singapore?
No.

Basically there is no vaccine for any corona virus. The virus primarily infects epithelial tissue which gets very little blood supply and attention from the immune system. Once you get a cold, it can come right back. Its a different coronavirus.
If the immune system won't keep the virus out, then boosting the immune system with a vaccine may never help.
