Comment Re:What about family? (Score 2) 100

What if the stock trades are made in the accounts of a family member?

My wife works for the Securities and Exchange commission as a line employee. I have to submit financial, banking, and investment records. So, I see no reason for judges and Congressional employees to be any less subject to these requirements. They are open to corruption and influence as well.

I live in the SF Bay Area, specifically in one of the first two areas to get cable Internet in the US (@home). Since @home's deployment here in the late '90s, the only infrastructure upgrades PacBell/AT&T have deployed is AT&T's project 'Pronto' FTTN initiated in 1999 to compete with cable. The Feds gave AT&T money to upgrade Internet access for schools, which resulted in the most minimal fibre deployment in my area to each of the individual schools. They were kind enough to offer fibre Internet to homes directly along the route, and at most one block perpendicular to the route. I got fucked, being two blocks as the car crawls from the route. People behind me get gigabit, while AT&T is only offering the same lame bonded-pair 100mbps DSL that's been available here since 2005.

Comcast has only built out marginally more infrastructure, relying on their fat coax pipes backed by fibre, and increasing bandwidth as technology has been able to squeeze more from the coax.

Meanwhile, I'm waiting for the small, but scrappy, Sonic.Net to soon deploy their own fibre in my neighborhood so I can give the middle finger to the existing duopoly and give my money to a company that actually understands and cares about customer service. So much for it not being cost effective for AT&T to deploy fibre here, and Comcast stroking their coax.

No idea why this received a troll downgrade. What I stated is absolutely correct. Both the Bush and Obama administrations warned against over-relying on Russia for energy resources.

As for Trump's lack of geographic knowledge, it's well documented, as is his lack of knowledge about world affairs in general. Just not something he was concerned with or interested in before becoming president.

This downgrading can only be chalked up to Trump fanbois getting enraged by their lack of awareness of their god's failings, or not being able to bear the truth.

No, it's you who doesn't understand the seriousness of these criminals using unapproved and unmonitored communications to evade regulators' reach in order to evade enforcement. This practice is egregiously widespread, and it needs to be ended. Unless individuals are held accountable, they will continue to flaunt the law.

You've obviously never worked in a highly regulated industry, and are completely ignorant.

If you could get thrown in jail just for using whatsapp instead of another app for business communications, you'd probably demand a higher salary to stay in the industry. The result is that either you pay more for the same level of service or pay the same for worse service. Rules aren't free.

It's not for using WhatsApp, it's for not keeping copies of all messages. It's not a new rule, it has been the rule for some time. Did you even RTFA?

Perp walk the fuckers.
