Comment Re:What keeps me (Score 1) 1880

Same here. I use Windows 7 at work because it's my only option. When the Mac mini was first released, I picked one up to give it a try and soon after, my home became Windows-free. I know it's cliche to say it "just works," and it's also one of the points that gets repeatedly made fun of, but that's been exactly my experience. I've been a Mac OS X user for almost 7 years now and I don't know a whole heck of a lot about it other than how to use it because I don't NEED to. It would be silly to say I've never had any problems, of course I have. But they've always been either easy to resolve with a quick Google search or they've been resolved shortly after discovery by an update from Apple. At this point, I can't ever see a time in which I'll go back to Windows.

Submission + - Removal of Printed Photo Credit Qualifies as DMCA (pdnonline.com) 2

mattgoldey writes: A federal appeals court in Philadelphia has reinstated a photographer's copyright lawsuit against a New Jersey radio station owner, after finding that a lower court came to the wrong decision on every issue in the case.

Most significantly, the appeals court said that a photo credit printed in the gutter of a magazine qualifies as copyright management information (CMI) under the Digital Millenium Copyright Act (DMCA). The DMCA prohibits the unauthorized removal of encryption technology or copyright management information from copyrighted works.
