The 4th State writes: "Marvel has killed off their oldest hero...such attrocities have not been seen since 1993 when DC killed off Superman. After 9/11 many Americans feld back to this comic as he brought hope to a much needing public. What are your thoughts? was this a good move by Marvel? what is coming next??? are they spawning a new comic, or is this the end of the series?"

mjdroner writes: ZDNet reports that Microsoft has patched the Xbox 360 to disallow users from running their own apps or OSs on the platform. The article states that the patch fixes a hole in the tamper protection mechanism. It also notes that Microsoft did not describe the update as a security fix, but rather, an 'operating system update.'

Last year, electronic marketing firm e360insight sued the anti-spam blocklist Spamhaus in U.S. District Court over being included on the Spamhaus website as an alleged spammer. One of the founders says that the operation is now less vulnerable to police raids in Sweden now that it has spread its servers around different locations. Amusingly, they may still buy an island, but for more modest reasons: "We have 20,000 to 25,000 dollars to spend. Really we just want somewhere we can name The Pirate Bay, so we can look on Google Maps and find ourselves there," said Tobias Andersson, who, despite running the most poopular site in Scandinavia, still works as an electrician.
