It's annoying because either some sites won't work ("never ask me again") or it'll pop up 300 times asking for more storage.

However, if you use Firefox, you can download the "BetterPrivacy" addon and just wipe them every time you start (or close?) the browser. No more tracking. (Whitelist, etc available)

No, if the manager doesn't MAKE the company at least as much as his/her own salary....

Trying to calculate savings is not only stupid, it leads to short-term "savings" that cost more in the long run.

Well yes, that's true--because the games market for *nix is insanely small. And I'm talking about games that publishers worry about enough to weigh down with copy protection, not the 3000th clone of tetris. Yes I'm aware of the very few AAA games that have been made available on linux.

I had the same question. IIRC, someone did provide a source where Gabe had posted on a forum. However, what soothed MY worries was that they actually had the right attitude about giving the customers value (friends, redownloadable titles, etc) for the tradeoff of having to log in. If they go under, I won't feel at all bad about finding a torrent since I bought the game. Meanwhile, I'll support them since they seem to actually value their customers.

Your GPS doesn't get traffic data.
Your camera has a horribly small lens and is good only for taking 4x6 photos.
Your watch can't be kept with you while doing anything active.
Your document scanner is horrible quality.
Your portable game console is limited by having touchscreen only and no physical controls.
Using your mp3 player/video player (and any of the above) will deplete your phone battery so you can't receive calls.
etc.

I get that it may work for you, but there's a good market for standalone devices for a reason.
