Ummm ... no one works for the IETF.
The IETF is a volunteer-based group of folks employed by technology firms, universities, etc.
This is literally the worst kind of bullshit as you're telling people they need to understand things before commenting, while your basis is provably false on its face.

A TPM costs about $1.50 and the device you describe is a couple hundred or more.
The TPM is also hardware tamper-resistant and tamper-evident, so it makes it harder to physically extract data (keys, passwords, etc) and it's very clear if someone attempts to do so. A separate server doesn't have those qualities normally and if it did the cost would increase exponentially.
So ... why not the TPM? This is literally what it was designed for.

It's dead .. in that it's now the NUMBER TWO MOST POPULAR LANGUAGE IN THE WORLD? Wow. Perhaps my understanding of the meaning of "dead" is misinformed. The commentary here seems to center around Java as a language for desktop applications or similar. It's not. It hasn't been for decades. Java is used mostly to make enterprise-class server-side software. It's used extensively in the financial services sector. Most of the code for any FI's web applications you interact with is Java. And so is all of the backend code. And it's not going anywhere in that space.

You can control the heating/cooling temperature, on either pattern or exception. So, the system can learn that you're usually home around 5.30p and have your house at exactly the temp you like when you arrive. Or, you can tell it you're on the way home at 12n today and it will have the house ready for you early. Same thing with lights/etc. Even if you like to do those things yourself, computers are more efficient. In the temp example, say you told your home you need to stay out until 9.30p one night - the temp would hover at whatever is cheapest (no heating/cooling) until it needed to turn on in order to be ready for your later arrival time and then turn on - this has potential to be much more efficient and save you money.

With your focus on longevity and aggressive supplementation, you have often included a caveat that you keep track of developments in this space and adjust your regiments all of the time. With that in mind, what have you changed recently? What supplements, food choices, etc, have you favored previously but no longer due, based on new information? Conversely, what new supplements, food choices, etc, have you begun taking/eating/drinking/etc based on new research and information?
