I don't think embracing a books ideas is an indication that you read it or not.
I read the Communist Manifesto and certainly do not lean anywhere near to Marxist's thoughts or philosophy.
Im no Musk groupie by any stretch, however i think people dont give him credit for his long term vision because all they see is him being the richest man.
He understood how money was broken and wanted to fix it early on, bit realised PayPal could not accomplish it at the time.
Its still part of his longterm vision and X is part of his plan for doing this with crypto (hopefully Bitcoin or Lightning, not shitcoins). He bought Twitter because he saw a central forum which was in an echo chamber and being manipulated by the state, and deemed it harmful to society.
Fixing Twitter/X is more than just "talk" and fixing the worlds Monetary system is the single most important freedom action for our future.
You might disagree with the vision, but if honest can admit its more than just talk.
I agree with your last point, common ground does not make people friends or allies, bit its a start, for the living at least .
