Journal Journal: Bella and the boys....

Saw this last sunday on tv, its a was a made for tv drama about 3 teenagers growing up in a childrens home.

The show largely focused around the female (bella) and her two male friends lee and mark, lee's mother was a heroin addict, treated him like shit, yet he still yearned for her love and affection. Mark was abandoned just after he was born, he seemed quite comfortable with this, and had no intentions of seeing his parents.

Both boys had some affection for bella, although whether it was for just to get laid, or for female company Im uncertain.

Lee seemed to have no interest in bella, yet she seemed far more interested in him than mark, who seemed far more stable, sensible and generally a nicer guy (and better looking)

Mark just seemed to be interested in bella for his own desires, lee didnt, he was just being himself, and found himself at the end of her affections.

it was a genuinenly sad story, which was interesting to watch and made me think about several things for the following couple of days.

- how i relate to people, do i just talk to people for some kind of benefit?

in my personal life, I can easily say no. At work however I feel I am somewhat guilty of this, this is where I question my motivation for work, do I work just to get paid? Or do I work for some other reason, this is a tangent I think worth exploring some other time.

- girls are more interested in guys who be being themselves.

but what if this means being themselves means being quiet and not being particularly talkative?
