Unlike the crap spewed by Trump and his cronies at rallies and on FoxNews, "Fascism" is a right-wing, not leftist, form of government. It's like saying fasicsm and (neo) Nazism are on the same end of the spectrum as socialism and communism. Trust me, they aren't.
Here's the definition to clarify things for you:
They can seize property if they believe it is associated with a crime.
If innocent or acquitted, he gets it back.
If he is proven guilty, oopsee!!!
That's how the system works.
"A QC algorithm requires a quantum computer to be run, or at least a classical computer emulating a quantum computer. If an algorithm can be run on a classical computer, then it's not a QC algorithm..."
Huh?
You just contradicted yourself.
What's to say he DIDN'T use a QC emulator to run a QC algorithm on a classical machine?
If he says it runs on a smartphone, that, is what he probably did given he claims it to be a QC algorithm.
Proof, however, is a simple demonstration, such as solving the tests by RSA Labs or decoding a message encoded by an unbiased tester.
Proof is in the pudding, so they say.
Time for him to put up or shut up.
I would never want to work for one of the companies.
It isn't about working your people to death.
It's about managing the work and paying employees a livable wage, and doing the work correctly.
Far too often, the culture is to submit work, they add someone new to the team, do the bare minimum, bill, reallocate worker, repeat.
If the worker sees a problem, they don't bring to anyone's attention and expect the client to find the problem and then deal with it. They don't record the issue - it just goes to a black hole.
The objective of management is to get maximum billing and minimum of work - correct or not. The worker bees are over worked and underpaid.
Throw in gov't and management corruption and that is why they aren't succeeding given their huge population of educated workers.
I truly hate working with offshore teams in India for these reasons and only use them as a last resort or if instructed to do so by executive management. I see them as a loss leader in most cases.
The Mac was chosen partially because of the 68000. Yes, other computers (Atari, Amiga) also use the 68000.
But, they were not the computers used in labs.
When the Mac was introduced, Apple had agreements with universities to provide Mac's to students and in their class/lab work. Drexel was just one the Apple Consortium.
Those students also went to engineering and labs and brought their experience with Macs and LabView with them.
Windows 3.1 sucked as it wasn't preemptive multitasking and, face it, the Mac OS with QuickDraw was just a better choice.
Today, other processors and OSes exist that can provide the experience National provided on the Mac's. Now, they don't have to support multiple code bases and can run on cheaper hardware.
Are Mac's still the preeminent machine in labs and classrooms today? No. Drexel opened up their choices for students sometime in the late 90's, I believe.
So, this is purely a business decision by National.
Then I must have pissed off the creators. Once again, I didn't win the Powerball last night so that my life could reboot. Nope.
Universe or simulation creators clearly hate my character.
That they didn't name any names of those, supposedly, making all the noise in congress?
Wonder why THAT is?????
Agreed! Thanks for posting the PDF.
What I found interesting is that Badbox affects only Android devices.
The other, the malware campaign, affects multiple devices, including iOS and is delivered through multiple app marketplaces.
But, it does not say it was delivered by Apple's official AppStore.
Perhaps, these iOS devices downloaded apps to jailbroken devices?
And, if that is case, does it bolsters Apple's argument NOT to open up their ecosystems to other, 3rd party, app stores?
What would happen if you told an AI to create photographs and images and then even an AI couldn't detect?
I suspect we'd really be doomed as we'd never know if it's truth or fiction.
Sorta like when they had the ship's computer create an opponent that could outsmart Data on ST:TNG.
All of Europe would be speaking German, goosestepping and saluting a madman's picture on the wall if we didn't assist the allied powers in WW2. How many more would have had to die to fulfill his objective of conquering all of Europe?
I served both during and after the Cold War. I really don't want to see the rebirth of the Soviet Union (or anything like it) again - clearly, it's Putin's aim. It would be a clear threat to the world.
I would just prefer it if the world powers would just learn to get along and behave like civilized people.
Yet, people will pay for it and believe it as gospel.
Just wait until the machines have enough of us humans because of these amplified biases.
About JavaScript and Front-End development?
The issue of content is WHY they introduced the product at WWDC-to get developers interested in developing content. But, they also mentioned it can run iPhone and iPad apps - that's a lot of preexisting content that can be accessed using the UI of the Vision Pro.
The Vision Pro is not yet available to purchase. Apple is hoping that developers will add code or write new apps that leverage VP-specific features.
For me, the thing is out of my budget. But, it is cool.
Or static electricity?
In the 70's, I remember reading my father's Popular Mechanics magazine on how to make a Whimshirst Generator...produced lots of static electricity and sparks...but, I wouldn't try to run my car or laptop from it.
