Comment laptops? on planes? (Score 1) 303

What the article fails to mention (or I'm assuming it fails to mention, since I didn't RTFA) is that coach seats are now so small, there are no room for your knees let alone working on a laptop. Flying is now pure hell for the husky gentlemen, unless I spring for the "Economy Plus" seats (when available) that have the legroom of the old normal coach.

Except, the Prius is a nicer car, and has the "cool" factor (at least if you you are into that sort of thing, and especially if you live in Seattle!). A Porche 911 is smaller than a Corola, yet is worth much more than $6000 more than one. The value of a car is not in the price per pound - there are many tangibles (performance, reliability) as well as intangibles (styling) to consider that can make the cost difference worth it.

Probably most of them. And do you know why? No vast conspiracy - its because that's whose applying for the jobs. I've worked in the IT Industry for about 15 years, and almost all of the resumes we've received during periods of hiring have been from people from India. They are not worse or better than any other group - just like European Americans, there are good Indian Developers and bad Indian developers - but if you need to hire, that's pretty much the pool you have to pick from. So to all the people complaining about "foreigners" (many of these folks honestly want to become US Citizens) taking good American jobs - where are you??? Why aren't you applying for the contract positions at Microsoft and elsewhere?
